Dr Hartley qualified in Leeds and has lived and worked in Burnley for the past 30 years.
He is Senior Partner at the Practice. He has an interest in dermatology and is a specialist GP at Burnley General Hospital in the Gastroenterology Department.
Dr Walton has been a partner with the practice since 1990. He qualified in Leicester in 1983.
He is IT Clinical lead for the PCT having been involved with medical computing for many years. He is interested in chest medicine / asthma.
When not working his interests include Golf and fell walking.
Dr Sibson qualified at Leeds in 1990. He became a partner at Yorkshire Street in 1996.
He has an interest in dermatology.
He lives in Burnley and is an avid fan of Burnley Football Club.
His other past-time interests are running and bell ringing.
Dr Begum grew up and went to school in Burnley.
Qualified in Manchester in 2002.
She did post-graduate training in Preston, Burnley and Colne.
Interests in Women’s Health and Medical Education.
Dr Hemsley qualified from Manchester University in 2004 and joined the practice as its newest partner in January 2011.
She lives in Rossendale and in her free time enjoys horse riding, running and anything that involves being outdoors!
Her special interests include minor surgery, paediatrics and sexual health. Dr Hemsley is the Practice Diabetic Lead GP.

Janet has worked for the Practice since 2001. Her special interests are asthma and COPD.
Sheila has worked at the Practice since 1996. Her role of ‘health care assistant’ has developed over recent years.
Patients can see Sheila for routine blood testing (which has been requested by a doctor or nurse).
Blood pressure checks, contraceptive pill checks, pregnancy testing and life style assessments.
TENS Machines – patients suffering from aches and pains can be referred by a doctor for the hire of a machine to help relieve their symptoms.
Alison works for East Lancashire PCT and attends the practice one day a week, providing advice on current guidance on use of medicines. She also sees patients to review their medication.

Carrie is currently undertaking a nurse prescribing course and MSc in Enhanced Clinical Care.
Her special interests are in diabetes and cardiovascular disease. She is also interested in enhanced diagnostic skills for nurses and in commissioning services for patients.
Michelle has worked at Yorkshire Street since 1995. She is responsible for all non-clinical aspects of the Practice. Please contact Michelle if you have any concerns or issues relating to the Practice.
Jean has been at the practice since 1998. She is responsible for the repeat prescription system and there to assist patients with any matters relating to their prescriptions.
Maureen has worked at the Practice since February 2003 after gaining her AMSPAR Advanced Diploma For Medical Secretaries.
Maureen offers a comprehensive medical secretarial support to the practice. She is responsible for routing of referrals to Primary & Secondary Care providers and ensuring test results from your hospital appointments are received by the GPs.
If you need to contact Maureen regarding a referral or investigation she works between 9.30 am to 1.30 pm daily.

Karen has worked at the Practice since 1999. She is responsible for all requests for information from patient records i.e., medical insurance, solicitors, social security medical information and access to medical records.
Our team of medical receptionist are here to ensure you receive the best service. Most of them have completed the AMSPAR Medical Receptionist qualification (Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Administrators and Receptionists).
